Update
After nagging the insurance company this morning they promised a call back to sort things out.
The call back happened, plumbers arrived late morning, water tank repairs completed in 90 minutes, boiler checked over and the seals kept it watertight but they couldn’t power it up & have arranged for their boiler man to visit soon.
In the meantime, as the lack of power to the boiler didn’t make sense (mains was turned on) I did some quick checks and discovered a faulty mcb, 5 minutes later everything is up and running.
Just four damaged ceilings to sort out now, happy days.
