Upcoming change to Roon subscription prices (January 1st, 2023)

I used the website contact form. It’s been about two weeks without a response.

@beka can you help with subscription payment via PayPal? Thanks

Weird, I just sent an email asking the same thing around 35 mins ago.

@beka, can you add me to your list too, please!

As above, please!

No they didnt. You can still update if you want to. Audivarna no choice you have to pay. They are just not the same at all.

All done, thank you!

They are the same in that Roon 1.8 Legacy and Audirvana Origin are both available to play your local music files without internet access. Audirvana Origin is only available by lifetime and Roon 1.8 Legacy is available by lifetime or other methods of payment.

So, a person concerned about internet outage could use either of these to play their local files. I would use Roon 1.8 Legacy on a laptop as long as it works. If it ever stops working, switch to Audirvana Origin for local files with no internet. Keep my main Roon core on Roon 2.0.

Amazing! I believe your subscription is now active.

Thanks a lot for using Roon from now on :relaxed:

I’ve mentioned earlier in this topic that I would be letting my Roon sub lapse.

But after some consideration and earning a nice bonus at work for all the extra hours we’ve had to put in lately, I’ve decided to put that bonus towards a lifetime sub.

You can add me to the list of life timers now as well.

I might not be using Roon on a daily basis. But as a sign of good faith, I’ve decided to go for it.

I said the same thing, that I’d be going back to LMS, then I said I’d pay the increase, then I was considering lifetime… then I went lifetime. I think a lot of us went through this exact thought process. Roon is simply the best product out there for audiophiles and no real competition exists in the space with even remote feature parity. It’s worth every penny.

I agree there. Just the payment of 700 at once had me holding back a long time. It’s a lot of money. But the announcement that the prices would only be going up in the future made me decide to go for it.

I was able to pay with Paypal which let me split it up into a few payments. I sold an old laptop that I didn’t need on ebay for $400 which covered most of it, and the rest I paid when I got my paycheck. I break even on Roon in August of 2027 lol.

The bonus I’ve received covered most of it, the rest came of my regular paycheck.

I do the same , I have 2 drives internal SSD - External USB HDD on my NUC they sync (SyncBack Pro) with 2 HDD on my main PC then are imported into JRiver as my fail safe . Along with my video collection.

Sync software just works , no stress …

Yes she is. All sorted now. Thanks.

Thanks to Beka for enabling and sending me the link to get lifetime now. I’ve paid in three PayPal payments which has helped a great deal as £600 wouldn’t be possible in one payment for me so thanks again Beka!.
