The Q and A states that for Synology, there is no action required. A little more explanation would be helpful.

Is the reason for no action required because Synology users are being skipped over and won’t enjoy the preformance improvements? Or does it mean the Synology package is already updated so there is no need for further action?

I think it means that the Synology platform already has the necessary linux dependencies installed and nothing else is needed except for installing the new RoonServer release.
