I have been happily using 4 Raspberrypi DACs with Ropieee in my system for years with few issues. Last night they all auto updated to v 2024.01 and now none of them appear as end points in ROON (ROCK on NUC). They are still available via airplay through ROON and the configuration web page is available and all settings look normal. I have restarted them all, I tried reinstalling software from the advanced tab, and restarted my ROON server. all to no avail.

I just tried enabling airport on the devices and although recognised in Settings/Audio in ROON streaming does not work and ROON asks to select a zone whenever play is pressed.

Problem solved by forcing the devices to reconfigure by enabling USB output. Both problems have been resolved on all four devices.

I am not updating. System works fine. If it aint broke and all that.
I don’t ritually update firmware etc.
