Using genre tags to sort content?

Migrated here (well, in trial period) from Lyrion Music Server.

I have a extensive library I have ripped over the years. They are organized by genre tags in the FLAC files.

It would be helpful to be able to implement using genre tags to sort content and/or to create playlists based on this tagging.

If this is already possible please let me know how this is done. The “Genres” on this system do not appear to use content tags in the files.

Did you go to Roon Settings > Library and enable the setting telling Roon to use the genres from your file tags?

Thanks! Actually it appears to be set via Settings/Library/Import Settings and is off by default. Very grateful for your help. Settings in this system are not very intuitive (to me, anyway).

The only intuitive thing is the nipple. Everything else is learned. You’ll get there :slight_smile:
