Has anyone tried Vanilla OS and would it be a suitable OS for Roon?
Not tried it but it’s Ubuntu based and Roon’s dependencies aren’t cutting edge. Follow the Linux install instructions and all should be well.

Thanks, I only installed it today, it’s really quite interesting and the first fully compartmented distribution I have tried.
Not that different, Ubuntu isn’t a million miles from Debian Sid (the test version). If you’re after stable then why not go to the well…

Which would only affect the package versions and update frequency really, as Ubuntu is based on Debian in itself. (Differences are only in user interfaces and related stuff, the core system is very much the same)
