Various Artists not showing up under Artists

Description of the issue

Album is identified as “Various Artists” but the Tags clearly show “Bay Area Dubstep”

Biggest problem is that there’s no such artist called “Various Artists” that shows up in my Artists.

When I want to find albums that ROON classifies as “Various Artists” I have to scroll in my Albums, which are about 2800, to find the specific album!!!

I am very sure I once had “Various Artists” as Artist showing up in my Artists.

Now I am missing a lot of albums because I don’t know their names, and scrolling in 2800 albums is NOT doable.

For the album browser you can:

Then press the V key to quickly navigate there (when a keyboard is available).

Or use the funnel to filter for Various Artists. Use a bookmark to save the view if you need it often.

Album is identified as “Various Artists” but the Tags clearly show “Bay Area Dubstep”

Identified albums use Roon metadata by default; clearly our metadata providers decided that this is a Various Artists album (all three of them in fact that have supplied metadata for this album).

However, you can prefer your file tags if you wish, by going into the album editor for this album, clicking “Prefer file” for Album artist" and then Save.

Also, if you are on the Albums pages, try using the filter funnel to find your Various Artists albums.
