Version Air - Moon Safari

Hi Roon Community,

Today I see that I’ve added Air - Moon Safari Hi-Res in Qobuz. And it’s there in My Qobuz.
But I think I can’t find it at least not in my Roon Arc library. There’s only the regular 44.1 16 bit CD Quality version here. And I like this album so much that this is worth writing for some online support.
Does anybody know how to get the right version in my Roon Library?

With kind regards,
Sjors

You mean this one, all there here in UK, sometimes new releases take a few days to trickle down to Roons database if they drop in Qobuz a bit late.

Or this one from this month,

Thank you. Yes I mean the first one.

Then let’s wait for a while. I still don’t have it there in Roon like you have it shown.

Have you tried searching for it?

@Simon_Arnold3 yes I have tried.

Favorite it in Qobuz and it should usually sync into Roon

Why aren’t the latest albums on Qobuz available in Roon?

When you’re browsing Qobuz in Roon, you’re seeing Roon’s Qobuz database, not a direct pass-through of what’s shown on Qobuz – that’s why there’s so much more metadata, like recording dates, lyrics, links to composers, credits, etc.

This is also why Roon can sometimes be slightly behind Qobuz when a brand new release comes out – our database is generated daily, but sometimes a new album will just barely miss the cutoff and will show up in a day or two.

When this happens you can add the new release directly in the Qobuz app. It will then appear in your Roon library.

Tidal has the 24/192 for quite awhile now. Although I can’t say I hear a difference between it and the uncompressed FLAC rip of my own Moon Safari CD.

Edit"
I’ve favorited it a long time ago in the Qobuz app as well. As the 24/192 version. Unfavorited and refavorited it. Did a resync in Roon and it just won’t show up as 24/192. But only as 16/44.1.

Looks like something is not quite right with the album itself. In the Qobuz app itself it plays as 24/192.

And there is definitely something wrong with the Qobuz version listed in Roon.

When I play the album listed as 16/44.1 it is actually the 24/192. I’m getting the same Hi-Res logo and 192 kHz information shown in my Loxjie DAC as with the Tidal version. Even Roon shows it correctly.

Looks like the information needs to be changed. As it is the 24/192 version.

Yes I think you’re right. I’ve noticed it as well. Thanks.

It’s really a bit confusing :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

I only see a 192/24 version in Qobuz and then 44.1 which is my own rip. The 192/24 plays as 192/24. Same as when I searched yesterday. Very odd.

It plays as 24/192. And that also shows up in the signal path. However Roon’s album information shows it at 16/44.1 here. Same with the Versions tab. Only Tidal shows up correctly as 24/192.

I have no idea who can change this, but it is definitely incorrect.

Odd as it display fine here in the UK don’t see a Qobuz 44.1 at all under versions.

It is odd indeed. I’ve checked with my streamers apps (BlueOS and StreamMagic). And both list the album as hi-res. So it is a Roon thing.

Thanks for making your contributions here. :pray:t3:

Had to be a weird regional issue then as it doesn’t show up here.
