I am presently on a box reduction effort. Right now I am experimenting with a networked DAC straight into a Hypex Ncore power amplifier using the DACs pre. My core is a MOCK rig set up elsewhere in the house. The DAC doesn’t have analogue inputs (it’s none networked version does). However my phono stage, a PS Audio NPC can convert to PCM or DSD and does so quite transparently. So I have a high quality, high powered system with a relatively small footprint and simple topology. It works very well!
