Volume control in spotify 2mm from 0 to 100 RopieeeXL

In the latest release the volume control in spotify only works for the first 2mm.
The sound level goes from 0 to 100 in volume level.
pi3 and Hifiberry amp hat
setting in librespot is “software” volume and initial level “50”

used to work perfect with previous versions.
I have tried with different settings “hardware” “software” “none” and different initial volume.

Board Type:
Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Plus Rev 1.3

Any suggestions how to fix this would be much appreciated.

THis problem isn’t just Roon’s use of Ropieeexl - it’s also broken for Spotify playing directly through Ropieeexl. 2mm on the Spotify volume slider between silent and deafening is a real horror. Really grateful for any suggestions.

I can confirm the problem still persists.
I have the same setup:
Software Version: RoPieeeXL 2022.11 (0581)
Kernel Version: 5.15.74-SPCKFSH-v7+
Board Type:Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Plus Rev 1.3
Did anybody find a solution or workaround?
