I tried both “flavors”. Both worked – for about 3 seconds. So thanks, but no joy.
Possible duplicate – sorry. I tried both streaming frequencies. They worked initially then shut off after 2-3 seconds.
Strange - they work for me.
Do you still have the issue with a different endpoint?
Some people with older copies of ffmpeg have had problems with .m3u8 files.
Roon sometimes will force playing the .m3u8 stream even when an alternative is available.
As that stream is of lower quality than the straight .aac, i have temporarily hidden it.
Try now - Roon will be forced to use the other stream.

A sincere Thank You for hanging in with the problem. You could have stopped with “works for me”, but you perservered. Two thumbs up!
PS: my ffmpeg is at least five years old, unless my server somehow auto-updated. Think it’s worth upgrading? I’m kinda of the “if it isn’t broke” school of updating.
