I like testing out the low end and watching glass quiver with this track
Maybe not the most of bass, but a very compelling groove:
The first 1:35 of the song are rather tame. You have to wait for it!
Cool, I see your hitting in the High 30Hz, my Fav song, Tove Lo - Talking Body, hits in the Low 30Hz, plus it’s a great song ![]()
Here’s your song:
and Tove Lo:
isn’t if fun to make the house rumble ![]()
I need bigger subs !
And I need a bigger house…
WADAX Playlist on Qobuz provides a great collection of music to test your system, with many of the selections going very low with varying textures of bass.
Came here to mention this one. Fantastic album. And lots of bass if that tickles your ear drums (and arm hair) too.
Just plugged in a Rel Classic 99, ran Lyngdorf Room Perfect and cued this bad boy up. Feeling a little low hz nausea but loving it! I like how the tracks are named after a bunch of now ghostly old London haunts from my youth. The Bug also did some good stuff with Earth a while back.
Grace Jones Hurricane Dub, 2011. Love her early 80s stuff, 30 years later she’s still kicking out the low end.
I was listening to “In the Still of the Night” by the Bill Charlap Trio, a pretty mellow lounge jazz type song. But there’s an extended bass solo in the song and as I listened I thought it sounded pretty bad. The rest of the recording is flawless, so I went to DSP and turned on the clipping indicator and that section was clipping pretty badly. I had the default -3db of headroom so I cranked it up to -7db and the clipping went away. I never suspected this innocuous jazz tune would cause clipping. Learn something new every day.
Hi David. Not sure why you need to turn DSP on. Just performed a test with 0 DB and there way no clipping
