Ha ha … straight of the Bat. Yup, Must admit I prefer to listen to Jazz & Blues LIVE! over the HiFi. Just so much atmos and humanity is added! for instance.

I still spend way too much money
Yes, Yes, Yes. And some of the best shows I saw were not even that well planned…just wanted to see a live show and they were available (for example, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in a small club in 1974 (before I’d heard of him), Tim Buckley in early 1970s, etc. Live music is the best (and I’m really missing it right now).
Yes and if I have learnt nothing else in the last few years it’s that unfortunately the older bands aren’t lasting forever. You may never get the chance to see some of them.
