What is the difference between Roon Server and Roon Core?
Roon needs a Core. This can be provided by the full Roon app for Windows or Mac (which includes the graphical interface and the server), a Roon Nucleus or ROCK appliance (where Roon Server runs as a process), some third-party devices, or the Roon Server software running on some computer.
Roon Server commonly refers to the Roon installer that only provides the server part, without the graphical interface, and is available for Windows, Mac, Linux, and QNAP and Synology NAS
