Do you go 100% volume on Roon and adjust volume on airplay receiving device?
On my kitchen speakers (airplay), I have to take Roon down to 60% or everything sounds distorted. Not so with Tidal or Apple Music app
I have ATV hooked to preamp. I control output volume on my preamp.
