What USB ethernet adapters work with Roon OS?

What are these adapters? Could you list them?

People have reported this one working well:

$15 too!

Yep there are often disagreements but Supra USB 2.0 cables are high speed certified for up to 15m !

And they do have a 5m cable.

Hehe no worries. There are probably other USB cables out there that will work at 15m but I haven’t seen any/many certified for high speed at 15m long.

See if you can buy it from a place with a good return policy - risk free, in case for some reason it doesn’t work.

Maybe any other adapters are guaranteed to work with Rock?
D-link DUB-E100, LINKSYS USB3GIG USB 3.0 GIGABIT ETHERNET ADAPTER, etc.

ive included a few linux drives, asix is one i know that is in there

A few days ago I bought a network card D-LINK DUB-E100 for my NUC7i5 with R.O.C.K
Connected to the network perfectly! Before connecting the second card, I used wi-fi for control. After turning off wi-fi, the sound has changed dramatically for the better!

Hi Danny,

using an ASIX AX88179B based USB-to-ethernet adapter and it works perfectly fine with ROCK, only thing is after reboot, it needs to get unplugged and then plugged back into the USB port in order to initialize and start working again.

Any hints to a solution?

Note the “B” after AX88179, which should be a newer and “better” version than the original AX88179 chipset.

I have tried both ASIX AX88179 and AX88179B based GigE USB-adapters on ROCK with latest

Operating System 2.1 build 271
Roon Server Software 1.8 build 1151

Both of them work, but require to be mechanically unplugged and then plugged back in after reboot in order to get initialised. Then they work very stable, but do not work without the unplugging after reboot.

Can anyone from Roon please look into that? Would be amazing.

@danny

Thank you guys!

Not anyone able to help?
Appreciated any hints and thanks again!

Danny, could you please let us know which is/are the other than ASIX drivers in there?
