God I love this man’s voice…
My two all time favourites:
- River Man
- Fruit Tree
Closely followed by:
- Cello Song
After those well … they are all ‘just’ excellent!
He was born in Tanworth in Arden, not far from me … the village has an the Annual Nick Drake Gathering … it’s very special to us.
Really? His music is so close to my heart… What’s happening there every year, music also?
You must know this then? (If not: it’s his mother.) Strange, I’m Dutch but I just feel so connected… Funny how experience sometimes transcends everything, and you just connect. IMHO the purest power of music.
Speaking of Tanworth in Arden: do you know this one?
@sean16 I’m back online so it’s 3 hip-hop fans again! Mortal Man, key track. I’m kinda on the polar opposite
Hi @koen,
I do, too. Nick Drake is a really great singer. Just listening to his Pink Moon album. It’s one of my favourites…
+1000
One of my all time favourite artists as well
I can listen to his work repeatedly and always feel so emotionally engaged.
Why so many representations of each album? Not identified correctly?
Hi @Mikael_Ollars. No, Roon did its job fine, the albums were all identified correctly. It’s just that I own the first CD releases of the albums (the 1986 Fruit Tree Box Set), the 2007 Fruit Tree Box Set based on the 2000 remasters, the Japanese SHM-CD Mini LP reissues, the HDtracks 96kHz/24bit versions and then some… Like I said, I love the man’s voice
