This album sounds absolutely fabulous on my new second hand Meridian DSP5200.2’s!
I bought it when we were strolling down the streets of Istanbul years ago. I heard the music coming from somewhere and was immediately enchanted by it. I followed the sounds and luckily, they came from a local shop, where I bought the cd.
I’ve been listening to it for years on my Klipsch Heresy II’s and it always takes me back to our holiday, but now I hear details I’ve never heard before. Almost as if they’re playing the album live down there in the streets!
For a second, I thought you were talking about your Meridian system…
Great album!!!
LOL! Just wait until I upgrade my DSP’s to SE’s, @HWZ. I’ll be rambling on about MQA all day!
(Love you too, @Chrislayeruk )
One of the all-time Blue Note classic, with a legendary crew of, naturally Horace Silver on piano, Joe Henderson on tenor, Blue Mitchell and Carmell Jones on trumpet, and Teddy Smith/Gene Taylor on bass.
Apparently, the keyboard riff from ‚Song for My Father‘ was used by Steely Dan‘s ‚Rikki Don‘t Lose that Number‘.
