Got to this from an exploration thread starting with Be Good Tonya’s and Eilen Jewell. Was expecting more alt-country songwriter which it sort of is, with a lot of fuzz and distortion thrown in… sort of like Sonic Youth covering Cat Stevens…

Came across Emile Parisien on an album with Vincent Peirani (accordion). Perisien plays soprano saxophone which I often find difficult to enjoy, but Parisien is deep:
