Simon some of the symphonic metal is Very gentle and very melodic (less this one)
If you were to start with something like within temptation, you will quickly find yourself being drawn in.
My wife really likes Symphonic Metal of a certain type (clean crisp lyrics rather than death metal style) and she would say she doesn’t like Metal
I’ll try it later and see.
This one’s a funny one for me, wasn’t struck by it particularly when I first listened after @HWZ recommended. This Saturday, listening through a pair of Sony noise cancelling headphones while doing the housework and am really enjoying it, go figure:
