Somebody needs to pay the imgr invoice
Good recording quality on this.
The Capricornus Consort Basel are consistently good. There also a lot of good young recorder players releasing albums at the moment.

Reissued and Remastered 2021.
This is the first digital remastering of many Pink Floyd albums. Long awaited.
Beautiful performance of six sonatas by Giuseppe Tartini on a late-17th century violin tuned to A=425Hz. Ornamentation is judiciously sparse and well-done. The (to me) distracting aspect is an overly resonant recording venue. This isn’t music intended to be played in a church and I prefer a smaller and more intimate venue. But nevertheless this is an album which can be heartily recommended to all who enjoy baroque violin music.
I listened to Humble Pie last week because of you all. This week I have a Humble Pie Mix.
It’s a deep hole I jumped into. I can feel it.
Arrangements of Verdi’s most famous and beautiful operatic melodies for violin solo and string chamber orchestra… This works surprisingly well, even for the recitative parts. So, if you enjoy Verdi’s melodies but dislike lyrical singing, this is for you!
Christina Pluhar plays theorbo and harp.
This material here is improvised around familiar themes such as La Follia and chaconne type “grounds”.
Has some vocals and and a jazz tinged clarinet. Also trumpet and cornet. Bruno Cocset is on Cello.
Interesting stuff.
Surely it’s too early for Christmas music? Room radio gone rogue?
Sure, we are still in October - but released a few days back so had to check it out.
