Perhaps give the Lamb album another few ear blastings?
Agree ‘A trick of the Tail’ is one of the best.
Saw him at the Royal Albert Hall in the '80s and he was on top form.
Whilst I’m not really a Motown listener this is brilliant and could easily change my mind, so I must open my ears. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
I guess I should - haven’t listened for a while.
Final Edit Done now, but the early 70s Marvin Gaye albums are also good. While he’s not Motown I’ll also give a shameless plug to Curtis Mayfield if it’s a melody with a social conscience you’re liking…
Thanks Killdozer, I need to start downloading…not necessarily listening for social conscience.
Great album!
I’m intrigued, I shall have to check it out!
Still one of my favourite ever albums
Pilloried by some, but that beautiful voice singing Cohen songs, just magical.
This album is a thing of great and delicate beauty. Probably my 2nd favourite of his (Illinoise comes 1st).
I was privileged enough to see him perform it live at the Royal Festival Hall.
Agree, her voice is magnificent!
Always found this a great album to play when in hi-fi shop’s listening room. Spent days listening to Linn gear playing this album and Humble Pie’s album.
Just to end my easy listening night here’s a great finish…
Gotta finish with this wonderful album!
