Lovely arrangements these are. It’s one of my faves from Cinematic Orchestra.

24 posts were split to a new topic: Michael bought a turntable

Really appreciating this lot at the moment. If you like Beach House they do cross over a bit, I think Hazel Wildes is a stronger voice and the orchestration is better for Lanterns they go darker and deeper.

Listened to a few of their albums this weekend after a recommendation for their live album was posted by someone on here. Thanks to whomever it was

Felt like a little bit of Orchestral Spice over the weekend so revisited some of my favourites from the Metropole Orkest. Also found this one that I hadn’t listened to. Thought it was very different, but also enjoyed it immensely.

Well worth a visit to their discography for a browse. Others I have listened to lately included:

Particles
ft. Nanna BryndĂs HilmarsdĂłttir

Here I am
Floating in emerald sea
Keep me dancing
Keep me as still as can be
And I try to keep the balance right
And I try but it feels like wasted time
But these heavy hands
They’re pulling me down on my chest
Latching on, coloring all of my flesh
Quietly, you hover over me
And I fight, but it feels like wasted time
Feels like wasted time
Say goodnight
I know that I’m swallowed in sea
We collide, colors that devour me
Just say goodnight
I’m already down
And I cry
Already down

Already down
And I cry
Already down
And I try
And I try
But it feels like wasted

Come, said the Muse,
Sing me a song no poet yet has chanted,
Sing me the Universal.

Hey guys – I split off the turntable chatter to a thread of its own: Michael bought a turntable.

I like the banter and fully understand the significance of the event, but it couldn’t be in a worse thread than this. Feel free to change the new thread’s title as you see fit.
