@CrystalGipsy I have the DVD and wish Iād been there as well!
Edit: the crowd shots in both the Parr Hall and Heaton Park shows are what I love to watch.
@CrystalGipsy you mentioning the English reminds me that the guy holding the camera onstage at the beginning of the Parr Hall show is none other than Shane Meadows of This is England fame.
Was a great night shame I cant say that about Spike Island the last time I saw them, it was dreadfull.
Thier best album as far as I am concerned.
@CrystalGipsy Iāve got a bootleg CD of Spike Island that doesnāt sound good at all. Why was it dreadful?
Crap acts all day then the Roses were pretty awful and the pa sounded crap, nightmare getting out to.
Yes itās really good, I nearly didnāt purchase as it was Ā£20+ in most places but i found it on Amazon.de for Ā£12 inc. shipping
Giulia Nutiās first solo album, released in 2014, is a gem and rightly was awarded with a Diapason dāOr. She plays on a 17th century instrument, rebuilt and modified by Taskin around 1788. The repertoire invites us on a journey of discovery of widely unknown composers and pieces of music from a time when harpsichords went soon out of fashion, to be replaced by the fortepiano.
The playing is delightful, and the music quite surprisingājust listen to Johann-Gottfried Eckardās beautiful and tender keyboard sonata Op.1/1ā¦
