Blast from the past with a rerelease. Saw this lot live back then they were a tight live act.

I love French baroque viol music… Sainte-Colombe and Marais I feel deeply in my soul. Their music—sentimental, soulful, indeed at times mournful… The viol’s sound resonates inside me, it’s something to be discovered.

How nice is it then to discover young talented players who can take over from everybody’s hero, the great Jordi Savall. This album from 2021 is wonderful… emotionally impacting… and again, a drink or two may lift you up into the right mood.

I’ve really enjoyed listening to this album today. It’s all covers, each delivered in a similar low-key arrangement.
He’s a new to me artist, although his late Dad Nicky was in one of my favourite schlock movies of the early seventies. :sunglasses:

This should potentially also reside in the worst album covers topic! Surprisingly this hunk has delivered a very listenable album. :+1:
