Terrible cover (deliberately so, I suspect) but great album.

This popped up on today’s new Qobuz releases. Of course, this album is anything but new… it is an older analogue recording, released originally in 1973. But… for those who enjoy Schubert’s Lieder output, this is a desert island album. No need to introduce the three artists—Janet Baker, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and Gerald Moore at the piano—all three are legend, and Roon’s new Wikipedia integration allows for easy investigation into their careers.

This release in fact complements two related albums, released on Qobuz on August, 26th. Schubert’s duets, trios and vocal quartets are rarely performed and recorded, and these beautifully recorded and mastered albums are a real gem.

Hey @Rockhound, I can’t find that particular For Absent Friends album. You got another rec for me?

P.S. really enjoying this Gandalf’s Fist album.

That live album is only so-so. This is better (on Tidal), originally suggested by @evilonline IIRC:

Too funny. It’s actually already in my library tagged as one of your recs.

P.S. I’ll tag @evilonline as well.

Nice late 2022 addition from Misþyrming (Iceland) to this year’s black metal albums, @Henri you probably already listened this?
