The guy I bought vinyl off in Harrogate, last Thursday, had a couple of Project cleaners in his shop. He was telling me that they are worth the purchase cost.

I firmly believe in ultrasonic cleaning however I’m sure the water based cleaners work well but I don’t have any experience.
I jumped in feet first with ultrasonic.

Just to be clear…yes I absolutely believe in cleaning records and the benefits from doing so.
Playback is quiter and your stylus is much happier with a lot of that grit and dirt having been removed prior to it seeing it
