Which port for backup

I’ve rebuild my homenetwork recently. Seperated into several vlans. The Synology is on vlan 1 and the Roon server (Nuc with Rock) is on vlan 2.

I’ve setup the backup in Roon to create it on a Synology Nas and it works fine. But now I’ve setup some firewall rules and in general vlan 2 is not authorized to communicate with vlan 1. You see the problem.

I can authorize the rock server to reach the Synology. This isn’t that complicated. But I want to do it only on the port that’s needed to create the backup instead of open up everything. Does anyone now the right port(s)

*this has NOTHING to do with Roon arc, that works fine.

I don’t know of a port for Roon backups, but you may want to allow Windows file sharing (port 445 IIRC) in general for Roon to be able to store the backup files on your NAS.

Port 445 is the magic number. It works great
