I can’t understand why in 2024, music search in Roon connected to Tidal sucks so much. I don’t have a too big of a library so my searches go to Tidal. Not sure who’s fault is it, Roon or Tidal, but I have yet to see a more crappy search experience. Partial searches yield 0 or odd results, partial searches are rarely found … it’s decades behind Spotify and I hate that I cannot use it properly . Sometimes I need to add additional terms to have the song appear in the list . Completely bonkers !

Sometimes, when I need to search and listen for new songs, I switch my system on Spotify, just to have a proper search & listening session and only add to Roon the songs I liked and I expect to play them again in the future ( probably 10-15%). Yep Roon… your search frustrates me that much !

It’s nothing to do with Tidal, all Roon I am afraid. Promised substantial changes years ago sadly we are still waiting.

At least misery loves company. Was searching for a way around the 1954 search capabilities in Roon and stumbled into your post. I feel much better now having vented for a minute. Thanks! Roon, come on. You’re being like Devialet and their years long lack of support to the Expert Pro line.
