Does anybody know why Roon doesn’t support iOS widgets on the iPhone? I searched the feedback section and there are multiple post dating back years and some of them say [implemented]. Does anybody know if this feature exists or not?
The only one I find that says “implemented” was for a widget on the lock screen, and this exists now (although it has been labeled “beta” for ages, but it works fine for me). The option is in Settings > Setup. The topic title was ambiguous because it spoke about widgets generally, but then the opening post specified “lock screen”, and I guess this is why it was marked “implemented” and closed.
Other than that there are none for the home screen. However, Roon (and ARC) does show in the iOS widget in the Control Center.
I always find that if my phone goes into a locked state for longer than maybe 1minute, the play command would never respond…
I don’t have that problem, just verified. (If the display is set to “always on”, then it does become unresponsive at first and has to be woken up before using, either with a tap or by raising the phone, but that’s an iOS thing and is the same for all lock screen stuff)
