Why is the wave bar sometimes just a flat line

On the time line under the current playing song, it shows a sort of linear VU meter or Dynamic range indication along the Time line of the current song… why sometimes is it just a straight line with no Linear VU meter?

These tracks that I am referring to are from either HD Track D/L’s or Ripped CDs…This changes within the same album…

Tidal tracks and tracks that haven’t yet been analyzed don’t show the wave form.

I can’t really account for that, but you might want to check Settings > Library > Background Audio Analysis Speed and make sure it’s not set to off.

If neither of those measures is effective, it’s time to call in the Roon Support dudes.
