@spockfish Hi Harry! So I have a sudden issue that is driving me crazy. Wind storm yesterday caused us to loose power. Power came back on and since then my Pi has not been able to hold a Wifi connection. I’ve been running my RoPiee to Roon via a Raspberry Pi for years now, and have never had this issue before. I can hardwire into the PI via Ethernet, and reconnect to my Wifi network, but the moment I unplug my Pi to move from office (where my ethernet is) to my music room (all wifi) my connection disappears–meaning, when I plug my PI to the power cord, it boots up, but does not connect to Wifi.
Have you rebooted your router/ wifi access point?
I have indeed. Still no luck. Could the power outage somehow have messed up my Pi?
Hard to know for sure, but on the off chance that your sd card is having issues you might try a reflash using a spare (blank) sd card, just to be sure,
Quick Updated. After still no luck with my Pi connected to Wifi in my music room, I went back to the office, hardwired via ethernet, set up my wifi connection, and unplugged the ethernet. From there, I was able to run my Pi, via Wifi, for nearly 24 hours, in my office without issue. This morning, I unplugged from my office, and set the Pi up back in its spot in my music room, and after the initial boot, no wifi connection established–IP address not coming up.
With all that said and what @Nathan_Wilkes mentioned above, could this more than likely be an SD Card issue? If the Pi itself was having issues, I don’t think I’d be able to have it running in my office on wifi for a day, right?
