Have a cinema room with a Yamaha amp - MusicCast.
Cinema room is 5.1.2 with KEF
Help me achieve MQA as roon is not recognising the Yamaha.
Yamaha ex a3060.
Willing to spend cash to make this work.
Well, you have to add a box that can do MQA and then feed it into the Yamaha via RCA connectors. A Bluesound Node 2i would work. That would give you a full MQA decode.
Or, you could go with an Allo DigiOne (not signature) and into your amp via COAX. That would use the Yamaha’s DAC. But, the MQA decode would only be the first stage via Roon. This is also a good way to connect Roon to your amp, besides MQA.
I just used the MusicCast and was like sitting in a cardboard box listening to a concert outside.
I already have two Atoms wired into other rooms.
I looked at bluesound before. Is there a Naim equiv I could use to keep everything in the same family?
Not sure with Roon that really matters tho?
