OK. Back to cheerful - from same yard.
Hang on gang, I hear Dire Straits!!
God’s country. Not that I’m a Yorkshire man, but there are so many awe inspiring places to visit. Me and my lifelong friend did a nice walk up to Heptonstall in July. My pal has just started more chemotherapy and I’m scared for him. Fingers crossed ![]()
For all of you culture nerds - Ed Sheeran lived at around 3pm on the below photo.
That’s Hebden Bridge in the valley below. Such a cool place!
I hope your friend’s treatment goes well.![]()
Thank you!
A drive down to the Gower in South Wales today and an 8 mile walk along the coastal footpath, thankfully the temperature is down about 6 or 7 degrees from yesterday, but still quite humid. Quite a hilly walk but very enjoyable
@Enough how are you getting on in Tenby this week so far?
Meet you in the Poker Room ![]()
It’s been great, thanks. Decent weather , nice sandy beaches, good variety of non meat related food…and I found a vinyl record shop with reasonable prices ![]()
Glad to hear that, not been to Tenby recently as it is always too overcrowded, but now you have said there is a record shop there again, I might have to arrange a visit towards the end of the season
.
Loads of beautiful places near there as well to visit with some amazing beaches
Lovely place to use as a base for exploration. We’ve been lucky with the weather this week ![]()
A pleasant 2 mile stroll on the beach this evening @ 8:30pm. Avoiding the jellyfish in the surf!
I have been visiting universities with my son this summer. He is trying to decide between Oxford or Cambridge for his application next year. His colleges of choice are Magdalen at Oxford and Trinity at Cambridge, they are both photogenic places.
Magdalen, Oxford (iPhone 14 Pro)
Cambridge in my next post…
Cambridge, Trinity
Trinity had a huge flex in their library. A small glass topped display case with four first editions; Winnie the Pooh, On Origin of Species, Principia Mathematica (annotated by Newton himself) and the First Folio. Quite the quartet of books to see in the flesh!
Cambridge is, Oxford aspires.
