Only somewhat biased but Cambridge is a wonderful experience (Selwyn 1968 - 71). Little to pick academically. There may be a bias depending on what your son is reading there are some very niche research areas that rub off onto undergrad
Also depends on whether he is following a sport, competition for Blues is wicked in Rowing and Rugby , both are world class
I think you need to get beyond the picture postcards, OxBridge is full of very bright people and competition is sharp
Times have changed since the 70’s when language requirements changed in 1967 !, it a BIT less public school and a significant proportion of Grammar School.

We visited Selwyn and he loved that college too. He is reading History so either Trinity or Selwyn would be ideal if he ends up punting for Cambridge (sorry).
He is a very keen rugby player, and also an LTA qualified tennis coach so he very much wants to continue his sporting endeavours. Whether he is rugby Blue standard remains to be see though, as you say it is a very high quality team!
He attends a grammar school now, although has done so only for his A-levels previously he was just at the local comprehensive. He as done very well academically, and this is the final push. He has far more drive and work ethic than I ever did!

It was a rough couple of days in my neighbourhood. Over 60 trees are being cut despite big protest from the community. 5 people were injured when police charged agains elders blocking the way of the workers. It didn’t help…over half the trees now cut

Such a shame. Why the cull of the trees? 
Sometimes, coastal paths can be a bit scary…especially when it gets windy!
Thank God for alcohol at the end of the trek.

Here’s the story it’s all over the news in Belgium. The exposure seems to have helped (for the moment) as they stopped cutting a few hours ago
