Great list - good year for BBT!

Fine selection of albums there - a few that I have not got around to so I’ll have to add them to the ever-expanding January list!

I agree - the recent live recording of Snowfalls leaves me hopeful that they’ll carry on making great music after David’s passing.

Hey all, great albums here - more listening to do than time in the day, but that’s I problem I’m grateful to have!

Yes, that was pretty good. Hoping for a new album in 2023!

Not enough time in a year to listen to all of the new releases, because I see some interesting, unheard albums listed in this thread. And while no albums stood out as a potential classic
album for me this year, there were quite a few, very good albums, that garnered a four-star rating, with the help of Roon, Roon Radio, and now Roon ARC.

Could not decide how to rank them. So here are 25 of my favorite albums for 2022 listed in alphabetical order:

Pete Astor - Time on Earth

Beach House - Once Twice Melody

Built to Spill - When the Wind Forgets Your Name

Gerald Clayton - Water’s Edge

Elvis Costello & The Imposters - The Boy Named If

The Delines - The Sea Drift

The Dream Syndicate - Ultraviolet Battle Hymns and True Confessions

Ronnie Earl & The Broadcasters - Mercy Me

Sharon Van Etten - We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong

Mary Gauthier - Dark Enough to See the Stars

Michael Head & the Red Elastic Band - Dear Scott

Jenny Hval - Classic Objects

Damien Jurado - Reggae Film Star

King Buffalo - Regenerator

Julian Lage - View With a Room

Lumenette - All Around My Head

Marillion - An Hour Before It’s Dark

Boy, did you ever send me down a (very worthwhile) rabbit hole yesterday with this recommendation. Thanks!

That is indeed a very deep rabbit hole - enjoy!

Any list of best albums of 2022 that isn’t including Snarky Puppy’s Empire Central only testifies to the curator having missed something big
