5.1 flac files down converted to 2 channel when output from MacBook to denon AVR through hdmi port

Hi there! I’ve configure my MacBook to output 6 channels in 5.1 and multichannel is displayed on the AVR yet Roon converts to two channels.

Thanks for reaching out. I was able to locate an existing ticket regarding this behavior and have added your report to the ticket. I am checking with the team to see what is needed to make progress on the ticket, but this is a known limitation at this time. In the meantime, we would suggest using another device (such as a Windows / Linux machine) to perform multichannel output. Thank you!
