About Diretta Connection on GentooPlayer

I have installed Diretta host on GentooPlayer and used it with roon, but afew weeks ago, Diretta target was not recognized on roon.
I have reinstalled Diretta host several times, but there is no improvement.
I can recognize the Diretta connection from other PCs and devices, but it is not usable with GentooPlayer+Diretta host.

It seems that these anomalies appeared after the update of roon in late July. By chance, I had an old PC with roon that had not been updated yet, so I tried it and it seemed to be able to connect to Diretta with roon temporarily.
After updating the old PC’s roon as well, the Diretta connection was no longer displayed at the output destination.

GentooPlayer and roon server (build 1299) are installed on a 10th generation Intel NUC (i7-10710U), connected to Diretta target (Canarino Bridge DUB) via a hub from LAN connection, and from there via USB DDC (Denafrips Hermes) is connected via USB, and DAC (Denafrips Terminator Plus) is connected via I2S.
The remote is connected to an Android device or an iPad.
The library has about 2000 albums and 18600 songs.

Hi,

I do not encounter your problem.

Thank you for your reply.
I have since contacted GetooPlayer support.
From the system information, it seemed that the Diretta target was recognized on GentooPlayer.
GentooPlayer support pointed out that it might be a roon issue.
Therefore, we decided to uninstall the GentooPlayer roon server and reinstall it.

The result was that the connection using Diretta was successfully restored!

I am not certain why the connection failed, but I suspect that some error was included in the update of roon.

Thank you again for your support.
