As some of you already found out, the latest Roon Bridge breaks on RoPieee because of an undocumented dependency.
I’ve created a rescue script that fixes this: if you’re on 2026.08.2 a reboot is enough.

Many thanks Harry
Neither a reboot nor a reinstallation of RoonBridge fixed the issue on one of my units. Rebooted the core as well. This one is a Pi 3b+ with Pi2AES hat, usually using the Pi’s built-in WiFi. Since posting this, I also hooked up the unit directly to my router via Cat6A and it did not work after reboot / Roon Bridge reinstallation there. Feedback: 414bca2f98c8f0fb
The other is a Metrum Ambre, which uses a Pi 3B, and that worked after a reboot and a reinstallation of Roon Bridge from the advanced menu..
(edited as one started working)
Was the dependency libicu?
will there be a similar fix for beta channel ?
Some other threads on this topic in case helpful:
It seems the release notes talking about glibc 2.27 being required for Roon Bridge 2.71 release yesterday may have been incorrect and could be why some of us still are not able to see our endpoints on Ropieee 2026.08.2 even after reboot and reinstallation of Roon Bridge.
Nope. That has nothing to do with it. The dependency has been resolved, but a very few of you have an issue where the rescue script download isn’t working.
But I’m about to release a patch release that resolves this properly, so then also for those people it is fixed.
Yep. Unfortunately. This was not communicated by Roon, hence we got surprised by this. Right now I’m only interested in fixing this (it costed me a large part of the day), so I’m gonna spare you all what I think of this ![]()
The odd thing is that this was known by Roon… The install script checks the dependency, but it wasn’t communicated.
This
and no follow whatsoever today as well.
Updated and I’m ok.

Thanks Harry.
