Describe the issue

I am visually impaired and use Voice Over on my phone and assistive technologies on my laptop. I downloaded the Room app on my iPhone but cannot read anything at all. Roon Arc is better in terms of accessibility. I need assistance and advice to be able to use the app as a visually impaired person. Thanks

Describe your network setup

I have a Mac mini, gold note DAC and iPhone 8 plus.

There is nothing the good people from Support can do for you. The Roon software would have to fundamentally change for that to happen (Roon’s UI is more like a game as like other desktop software). You can add your vote to the existing feature suggestion to give it more weight though:

Please read through the linked thread as he contains explanations but also possible ways to help remedy the situation by using third-party Roon extension(s). I think the recent Community Remote is missing from that older thread, but I’m not sure if it can help you as it is currently only available for Android and Linux.

Hello @kaliber.esra,

Thank you for reaching out to Roon Support, and welcome to our community!

We’re sorry to hear you’re experiencing accessibility issues, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.

As mentioned by @BlackJack, our ability to assist with accessibility concerns is currently limited, as this functionality is not yet a feature within the Roon application.

That said, we encourage you to visit and participate in the existing feature request thread here:

If this feature is important to you, please consider voting for it by clicking the “Vote” button at the top of the thread. Your feedback plays a vital role in shaping the future of Roon, and we sincerely value your input.
