Yes, using Roon’s sound processing features, called MUSE. You can either make manual adjustments with an equalizer or you can measure the room and create a custom convolution filter. MUSE is described starting here:
With an iPhone or iPad, you can get easily started with measuring and a convolution filter with the fabulous HouseCurve app:
There are also other software options, of course. A forum search for room correction will find many existing discussions:
For manual equalizer adjustments in Roon’s MUSE, all you need are your ears and some time to play around (and Roon).
I’m partial to not guessing and just measuring instead. There are many possibilities with a measurement microphone (costs about $100 or about half of that if used) and various types of software from free and more work (like REW) to various more expensive and fancier options.
However, the HouseCurve app (see the thread I linked) makes it cheap and simple, and it gets you a large part of the way. All you need is an iPhone or iPad (borrowed if need be, it doesn’t take very long) and the HouseCurve app from the App Store, which costs about $10.
In most approaches with measurements, the software will create a so-called convolution filter (which is essentially a set of WAV files), which you then load into Roon’s MUSE.
1.) Get an iPhone/iPad
2.) Get HouseCurve
3.) Read the instructions
4.) Take a Measurement
4.) Make basic adjustments via MUSE
5.) Consider if the results are worth while spending more of your time
6.) Take more measurements, refine adjustments
