Same issue. Just “Roon Server Doesn’t Appear to be Running”. Click start Roon Server, screen goes to the Roon icon for about 30 seconds and then back to "Waiting for your Roon Server…

Roon Core Machine:
M2 Pro Mac Mini, MacOS X Sonoma 14.0
Library on external SSD conneced via Thunderbolt cable

Networking Gear & Setup:
Connected to wifi via Google Mesh into Cable Modem

Interesting, there are now 3 different items running Roon in my activity monitor and a new Roon icon in my Menu Bar. Activity monitor does say that the Roon Server is running…

I force quit all 3 Roon related items from the Activity Monitor, relaunched, and now it’s working.
