I’m pretty sure they pulled/paused the update because of issues.
Still on old version in South Africa Apple Store , bit late even for us …
You can download it from Roon - Downloads and the new build works just fine. Seems to be a problem with the update mechanism…
Same here, I’ve updated Roon but devices are still Airplay 1 and separated, so no Airplay 2. Don’t know what else to do.
It worked! Thanks
I downloaded it again, installed it again - and still have the newest version
But, I also still see no mention of Airplay 2. I have restarted all devices and the ROCK, just to be sure:
I have a mix of old and new devices, so some of them may not be Airplay 2, but at least the Macbook Air is (it is new) - and there should be a Samsung TV as well, which was the topic of my original question - it doesn’t show anywhere at all.
Edit: Maybe I should add that I can play on the Airplay devices, no problems there.
Does the “remote” have to be an Apple device?
Doesn’t matter because the remote is just a remote, it doesn’t stream. And I see AirPlay 2 for my Apple TV and my Naim NDX-2 with a Roon ROCK server.
Edit: I have the Early Access update. There were several iterations in EA and eventually it all worked for me and seemingly many others (there was quite some testing/posting activity). So no idea what’s up with the production update.
I have the latest version on the server (ROCK), and the remote (on my Mac), and I don’t have Airplay 2 capabilities. My stereo HomePods (mini and v2) still show as individual speakers.

Is your TV on? If not, try turning it on. Sometimes power management gets in the way of device discovery.
Good idea, but no change - it is visible from the computer, though (also when the TV is on stand-by):
It is the one called “Sams Stue”
No AirPlay2 support here either. Latest iOS app and server version. Various HomePods.
are your homepods on the latest firmware?
When running EA, I had to update all my homepods (homepod minis, to be precise) and reboot my roon server. That did the trick.
The Homepods are all on 17.5 here, AFAIK this is the latest version. Server restart didn’t change things.
Does Airplay 2 work for you with the latest production version 1432? Or are you still on an EA Version?
I’m still on EA, but there shouldn’t be too many (if any) differences to the latest production build.
Besides multiple users who can’t see Airplay 2 working. To be honest I have yet to see one for who Airplay 2 works on 1432.
For me Airplay 2 worked in EA some weeks ago with my Sonos Five, but in 1432 production they are back to Airplay 1.
