Description of Issue

Tell us about the problem you’re having in as much detail as possible. Screenshots are always appreciated!

I am running Roon server on a Windows 11 Surface Pro 9. My system is a Yamaha RX-A2A connected over WIFI in a 5.1 configuration. I don’t use any Apple devices. Roon shows my AVR connected via AirPlay and so far I have not been able to make it play. Currently I have 10,000+ track in my library and a years subscription to Roon.

Can you provide any additional details on what you are experiencing? The A2A uses AirPlay 2 to which Roon cannot connect unless the A2A also allows for AirPlay 1 compatability. Does the receiver require an AirPlay code to connect?

No…no code was asked for.

I don’t have a Yamaha AV receiver so am not sure if anything else needs to be configured on it to enable AirPlay. The Roon Support team has this in their queue, and possibly another user may have an idea.

Thanks All
I’ll try hooking the PC direct and see what transpires.
