AirPlay on iMac keeps asking for pass code

Description of Issue

After a correct enabling of the iMac Airplay audio device (confirmed by airplay code) each time I try to play on this device iMac is displaying a new pass code and playback doesn’t start.

I’m sorry you’re having issues. Let’s take a look. I’m still a novice at modern Mac OS after a pause in my exposure to it but I’m getting back into the swing of things. Roon will get you familiar with a lot of things quickly!

Can you take a look at your sharing settings for AirPlay for the Mac in question and let me know what you see? Here’s my setup:

Try this;

Setting Connection to Apple TV via Airplay fails - [Airplay Code]

Please try changing your ATV Airplay settings, and require a password. A) Open settings on the AppleTV B) Navigate to AirPlay and Homekit C) Tap on “Allow Access” D) Set “Allow Access” to “Anyone on the Same Network” E) Set Require Password to “On” and create a password D) Back out of the menu to the home screen F) Try to enable the zone in Roon. It should ask you for the password
