After installation Airplay worked perfectly. Now however, although Ropieee appears and is checked on the control panel, there’s no sound. Airplay is fine via Airport Express.
On a related note, AirPlay on ropieee doesn’t seem to handle the volume control properly.
“Max” airplay volume is whatever volume Roon/raat set last, whicn is often way too quiet.
So I have to crank the speaker volume way up with roon, before I watch tv (using AirPlay). Then I turn the volume back down, quickly, before I play music/roon again.
Hope this makes sense. I wish raat and airplay both gave me full volume control.
