I’ve been a happy Roon user for several years now, the UI, functionality, metadata handling, and overall experience are absolutely fantastic. However, I recently ran into something that feels like a bug in the backup/restore process.
I built a new server, installed Roon ROCK, and restored my database using a backup from my old Roon server. At first glance everything looked perfect — the library, play history, settings, etc. all came across nicely. But when I opened my “Favourites” section, I noticed that all the favourited albums and all my custom tags are completely missing, while favourited artists, composers, playlists, etc. are still there.
Has anyone else experienced this? It seems like album favourites and tags aren’t being included in the backup/restore process (or something is going wrong specifically with those items). Any ideas or workarounds would be hugely appreciated!
