Hey @korretje,

Thanks for writing in and sharing your report. We were able to review a fresh set of Roon Server logs, good news is this isn’t your setup or your network.

That album was in your library. It synced from TIDAL on August 7th, then dropped out on August 10th when TIDAL stopped returning it in your Favorites. This happens when TIDAL re-delivers a release: the original album entry is retired and replaced by a new one, and anything you’d hearted against the old entry quietly falls off your Favorites. The same thing hit the pre-release singles a couple of days earlier.

So the album you’re seeing in TIDAL now is the replacement entry, and it’s never been favorited, which is why Roon doesn’t have it.

To fix: add the album to your Favorites again in the TIDAL app. Roon syncs every couple of hours and should pick it up on its own; to trigger it immediately, sign out and back into TIDAL under Settings → Services.

If it still hasn’t appeared after a few hours, send us the album’s TIDAL link (from the web player TIDAL - High Fidelity Music Streaming) and we’ll check whether the new release has made it into Roon’s catalog yet.

Nothing in the logs implicates your Mikrotik or UniFi gear, every TIDAL sync completed cleanly.

Let us know how you get on. :+1:

Hi Benjamin,

Thanks for the quick reply, sadly, this has not solved the issue. I guess the album did not make it to Roon’s catalog somehow. The Tidal link to the album: Legacy by Five Finger Death Punch on TIDAL

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards.

Hi @korretje,

If this album was only officially released by distributors on July 31, it can take a few weeks for TIDAL to expose the object to their API, even if it is already in the native catalog.

That means it can take some time for new releases in the hi-res tier to reach Roon. It is unfortunately in TIDAL’s domain and outside of Roon’s control. If you do not see this album in Roon after another week or so, please post here once more.

Hi,

Thanks for the clear answer, I hope to see it added soon .

If the issue persist, I will let you know.

Hello @korretje

Please update us here if the album will be missed in a week.

Hello @korretje,

Wanted to follow up on this, and check whether the album is still missing . Have you had a chance to verify if it has appeared since we last wrote, or if it is still absent from the library? If it is still missing, reply here with any updates and we can take another look.

Please note, if we don’t hear back from you this thread may close automatically soon. If the thread auto-closes and you need further assistance, please submit a reopen support request via the technical support help form below and specify that the issue should be reopened. Thank you.

Thanks for your inquiry, but the album has not been added.

Understood, thanks @korretje, we’ll keep this ticket open while you wait for the album to properly populate.

No need to respond to this, unless the album becomes available within Roon. Thanks again for your ongoing patience in the meantime!

Hi @korretje,

We reopened the thread per your request. Thank you for your patience on this, and for coming back.

We raised the missing album with TIDAL on our side. We have had no response from them, and the position has not changed: the album still has not reached us.

Roon can only show what TIDAL delivers to us. The release is in TIDAL’s own catalog, which is why you can play it in their app, but it is not being returned through the interface TIDAL provides to partners like us. Nothing on our side can pull it through, and there is no setting or resync that changes that.

At this point the useful thing is for you to raise it with TIDAL directly. When you do, the detail that matters to them is this: the album is available in the TIDAL app but is not being exposed through their partner API, so services that receive their catalog cannot see it. That is a specific, checkable thing for their team, and a customer asking carries more weight with them than we do.

The album is Legacy by Five Finger Death Punch,
