Have you tried main Roon drop down menu (upper left hand corner) → My Library → Albums
This will bring up the “My Albums” view of your library. Once there click on the “sort by” drop down menu (located next to the Filter horn on the right side of the screen) and select “Album Title”. You should see all the albums (aka recordings) sorted by title. Depending on where (at the beginning or end of the actual album title) you placed the year or volume number this should be helpful.
Please forgive me if you have tried all of this already. Perhaps I misunderstood what it is that you’re asking.
Thanks for your response but not what I was wanting.
To give a specific example… I have:
Radio 1’s Live Lounge
Radio 1’s Live Lounge, Volume 2 and
BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge 2014
Currently (3) comes first in an alphabetical list, but I want them in the logical order. With my old UPnP setup (and Apple Music) I had ALBUMSORT tags as follows…
Radio 1’s Live Lounge 2006
Radio 1’s Live Lounge 2007
Radio 1’s Live Lounge 2014
Is there an equivalent to ALBUMSORT in Roon?
(Loving Roon, I had it for a year a few years back but financially it was a struggle but ARC has particularly made me come back and finances as less stretched now)
Roon uses sort order, and this is set under Settings > General, e.g., “Name for artist sorting”. However, this isn’t available for title, and even if it did, that wouldn’t help here since you are using different release titles in each field.
The simplest solution is to correctly name the releases.
