I am missing some classical albums in my library. Case in point. I have 4 albums called “Vivaldi:Concerti da camera” There are 4 distinct albums, Volumes 1, 2, 3, 4. It’s not a 4 cd set. I have them tagged the same using MP3tag (ide3 editor). However, volume 4 is missing from my collection. I’ve tried everything. I know it’s there because i see it in the library. But not in ROON. Even when I search specifically for “Concerti da Camera Vol 4”. There is nothing in skipped files related to this. This leads me to wonder how many others i am missing. HELP!
First, I’d like to point out some documentation we have that may be helpful here. In our KB we have an article about Skipped Files and an article about why some files might be missing from Roon .
If you go to Settings > Library > Skipped Files do you see any of your missing files there?
I’d like to recommend looking at a couple of specific examples of tracks that did not get imported into Roon. Are they supported files? Are they showing up in Skipped Files? If it looks like they should be importing, let me know! Screenshots of these files in their storage location would be helpful for discovering what may be happening.
Hi Dylan,
No, the files in question do not appear in skipped files. And I’ve read through the KB a few times. There’s no weird stuff. In fact, volumes 1, 2, and 3 are tagged the same way as volume 4. I even tried re-ripping all 4 CD’s
So why should volume 4 not appear in the database? I’ve attached two screen shots. One is of volume 3 which appears in the database. One is volume 4 which does not. Let me know what else you might want to see to help resolve this.
Appreciate your help.

This is an issue i was working on with dylan but was never resolved and case was closed. Still have the same problem.

Apologies for the long delay!
If you search by path do you see any of these tracks?
If not can you share a screenshot of Settings > Storage for us?
Hi Dylan, I uploaded 3 screen shots for you. The storage setting is no great shakes. It’s the music folder on the iMac. The same machine that is running the Roon core. So by trial-and-error, I found a workaround for this problem. I renamed the FOLDER Concerti Da Camera Vol 5(although there’s no such album). And rather than nesting it in my Vivaldi folder, as I normally do, I left it at the root of “music.” I accepted the options to let ROON decide on the tags. And lo and behold, the album appears as Concerti Da Camera Vol 4. (Along with 1-3). No idea why this small change made the difference. I’m not a database guy. So I would say while not “fixed” the workaround works fine. I like the feature to find the path by track, btw. That will come in handy. So, I don’t know if you have anything to add or know why having that one album in a folder nested in another would matter, and how renaming made the difference. Perhaps you have some tips on Roon file management. But there it is. Thanks and let me know you received this. (hope it makes sense.). Mitchell
Was this resolved? I’ve missing albums too.
